Chimurenga is an award winning, Los Angeles based freelance journalist and writer. She is the author of No Doubt: The Murder(s) of Oscar Grant (2014); Reparations ... Not Yet: A Case for Reparations and Why We Must Wait (2015); Some Of Us Are Brave: Interviews and Conversations with Sistas on Life, Art, and Struggle, Vols 1 and 2 (2023/2024); and the co-author with Deborah James of What We Stood For: The Story of a Revolutionary Black Woman (2024).
