Course Description: This course will help the student develop confidence, clarity, and effectiveness in public speaking. The student will learn how to structure and organize speeches, use vocal techniques such as tone, volume, and pacing, and incorporate effective body language and gestures. Emphasis will be placed on audience engagement, overcoming speech anxiety, and using visual aids to enhance presentations. The student will practice delivering informative, persuasive, demonstrative, and special occasion speeches, as well as impromptu speaking exercises. Additionally, the student will learn how to adapt their message for different audiences and settings, manage stage presence, and handle Q&A sessions with confidence. The student will be able to communicate ideas clearly and persuasively in various environments in and out of school.
