DACA Resources

Â鶹AV Resources

    • Open to all currently enrolled Â鶹AV students, the Student Legal Support Clinic provides pro bono advice, counsel and representation to Â鶹AV students in a variety of immigration legal services, including, but not limited to: Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, Adjustment of Status, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status ("SIJS"), Violence against Women Act ("VAWA"), U visa and Naturalization Services. The Clinic is located on the 3rd floor of the Â鶹AV Oviatt Library, room 312.
    • The Â鶹AV DREAM Center is a resource center for undocumented students and allies. DREAM stands for Dreamers, Resources, Empowerment, Advocacy and Mentorship.
    • The website provides political resources for students, staff, and faculty.

If you are an undocumented student, there are many resources available to you -- from grants, loans and scholarships to legal and campus support services.

This website, which also has information about legal support services, will be updated with any new information as soon as it is available.

Update on DACA from Â鶹AV President, Dianne F. Harrison

To the Campus Community:
In my statement to the campus community last week, I advised that I would provide you with updates on DACA as appropriate. Today, we learned that the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program will be eliminated within six months unless Congress acts to institute new legislation. I want you to know that I have joined leaders of colleges and universities across the nation in urging Congressional representatives to help forge a legislative solution that, at a minimum, sustains the existing provisions of DACA. CSU Chancellor Timothy P. White's Statement Regarding Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals

Dear CSU community,
I was deeply disappointed by this morning's decision to rescind the Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. This program enabled thousands of academically qualified Californians to pursue their dreams at California State University campuses, and was widely acknowledged as a strategic benefit to our state and, indeed, our nation. I am joining with colleagues throughout the United States to urge Congress to pursue legislation that will restore the heart of this forward-thinking program in a timely manner.

The university's enrollment and tuition policies are not based on DACA status so enrollment, tuition and financial aid for students is not impacted by the ending of the program. Additionally, state funding under the California Dream Act is not based on DACA status and will not change.
