Federal Work-Study
The Federal Work-Study (FWS) Program is a financial aid program funded and administered by the U.S. Department of Education, which allocate funding to help colleges provide students with paid jobs. This is a federally subsidized employment program, which offers part-time work opportunities for undergraduate and graduate students. The federal government helps pay a student’s working wages through the FWS award. Students then earn the award in the form of a paycheck. The intent of the FWS Program is to encourage part-time employment and reduce the amount of loan debt incurred while attending college.
